Me: You look beautiful, but I just don’t want you to ruin your dress. I don’t wear fancy things on normal days.

Lindsay: I just have a lot of dresses.

Me: So wear them! 

Lindsay: I just want to wear shorts and short sleeves.

Me: You USED to always want to wear dresses. 

Lindsay: Yeah, but…fashion changes around me.
